Following the highly successful Lee Westwood Golf Tour National Finals held at Close House in October last year, 2016 proves to be bigger and better.
Lee Westwood Golf Tour have launched their 2016 calendar with 16 events held at venues across the UK, including the Kendleshire Golf Club, Market Harborough Golf Club, High Legh Park Golf Club, and at the homes of the Lee Westwood Golf Schools - Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa in Essex, and Portal Premier in Cheshire. There will also be international qualifying events in Hungary, Ireland, and Czech Republic for 2016.
The popular events are open to boys and girls under the age of 21. The tour has U21, U17, and a girl’s category competing in gross and nett competitions, with up to 6 players from each event qualifying for the 2016 National Final at Close House, played on the Lee Westwood designed Filly course.
The 2015 National Final welcomed close to 70 competitors. The fantastic two day, 3 round competition, was topped off with the attendance of Lee Westwood to present the prizes and chat to our young aspiring golfers, including overall winners Tom Riley and Lexi Dart.
Lee Westwood is committed to helping develop golf from a grassroots level, and the tour has always received great support from Lee Westwood and his sponsors; consequently we have an expected prize fund of over £6,000 for the final, with products from PING, Bushnell, Druh belts, and so much more. If you would like to be part of the Lee Westwood Golf Tour and test yourself in a competitive environment against fellow young golfers, please visit www.leewestwoodgolftour.com for more information.
